Hire a bike from Saddles and Paddles and go for an adventure around the beautiful Exe Estuary bike trail, there are different trails depending on how much time you have. Great day out in the summer.

Rent a kayak from Saddles and Paddles and a very picturesque canal ride follows. Make sure you get here early as they often get booked out really quick.

Craft shops

Along the river are a few massive cellars and warehouses turned into stores- selling an eclectic mix of antiques, textiles and gifts. Wood and craft workshops are situated at the back of the stores. These shops are a different experience to shop at, even if you’re just window shopping!

On The Waterfront- Restaurant

Eating here is an experience as the restaurant is located on the ground floor of a 19th century woolen industry warehouse. The food is great, specially the pizzas.
